Glendalough Pitch And Putt
Recess is a traditional stopping-off point on the way from Galway on the Connemara Loop. The village is situated on the edge of a beautiful fishing lake, Glendalough. The holy shrine of Mámean is nearby and is a perfect place to walk for both the beauty surrounding you and the sense of a bygone era.
The pitch and putt course in Recess is also worth a visit as you would be hard pushed to find a more scenic location for a game of golf. You will find all the supplies you need at the local shop, post office and petrol station and there is a great range of bed & breakfasts and self-catering accommodation in this area.
History
Recess is set beside Glendalough Lake and mountain scenery, it is a very scenic part along The Connemara Loop (Fáinne Conamara).
